Privacy Policy

Your CV data

When you upload a CV, Hyrefi extracts the text and sends it to our AI service for analysis. No CV file is stored — the file is processed in memory and discarded after the response is returned. If you do not opt into the Talent Pool, nothing from your session is stored anywhere.

What we don't store

By default — unless you explicitly opt into the Talent Pool after seeing your CV score — we store none of the following:

• CV files or extracted CV text
• Scores, feedback, or AI-generated content
• Names, email addresses, or contact details from your CV
• User accounts — there are none

Session storage

Your browser's session storage tracks how many times you've used each tool in the current tab (scoring, rewriting, cover letter). This data never leaves your browser and is automatically cleared when you close the tab.

Analytics

Hyrefi uses Vercel Analytics to count page views. No personal information is collected. No cookies are set for tracking purposes.

Third-party processing

CV text is sent to Groq's API for AI analysis. Groq processes this data subject to their privacy policy. No personal identifiers from your CV are intentionally included in the AI request beyond the CV text itself.

Talent Pool (optional)

This section applies only if you explicitly opt in after receiving your CV score. If you do not opt in, nothing is stored.

What is stored on opt-in: your original CV file, name, email address, optional phone number, optional preferred job location, CV score, and section scores.

How it is used: by opting in you agree to Hyrefi sharing your full profile and CV file with third-party recruiters (recruitment agencies and employers) as part of our candidate sourcing service. Hyrefi brokers these introductions manually; recruiters do not have self-serve access to your data.

Email verification: after opting in you will receive a verification link by email. Your profile is not shared with recruiters until you confirm your email address (double opt-in).

Retention: your profile is retained for up to 12 months from the date of opt-in, after which it is reviewed for deletion.

Your rights: you can withdraw consent or request deletion of your stored data at any time by contacting us on WhatsApp (+94766322113) or at Hyrefibiz@gmail.com. We will delete our stored copy promptly. Please note that copies already shared with recruiters cannot be recalled from their systems.

Your responsibility: you are responsible for the content of the CV you upload, including any third-party details such as references or contact information for other individuals.

Lawful basis: explicit consent (PDPA, Sri Lanka, Act No. 9 of 2022). Consent is voluntary; opting out has no effect on your access to the free CV scoring tool.
